For our youngest learners, our Early Learning Music Program for preschool-aged children encourages creative expression, rhythmic exploration, and social development, creating a fun and educational introduction to music.

At Platform Academy, music theory is anything but ordinary. Our year-round courses include one-on-one sessions and seasonal Summer and Winter programs, designed to make learning theory enjoyable and accessible. Through percussion, songwriting integration, and exploration of contemporary, jazz, and classical theory, students develop a deep understanding of music while enjoying every step of the journey. Whether improving school grades, enhancing songwriting skills, or building a strong theoretical foundation, our supportive instructors adapt lessons to each student’s needs.

Our principal course, Audition Preparation, equips students with the tools to stand out in any audition. Participants engage in workshops, monologue training, CV preparation, stagecraft, performance projects, and essential practical skills like theatre terminology, costume, make-up, and theatre history. Students leave confident, prepared, and ready to shine in any performance setting.

Little Learners

Little Learners, or as we like to call it, PALL's (Platform Academy Little Learners).

Little Learners is a fun and engaging early learning music program for preschool-aged children, led by Brodie. It’s a wonderful way for little ones to explore rhythms, sounds, and creative expression through singing, movement, and playful musical activities, while also developing important social skills. And it’s not just for the kids – PALLs is a fantastic opportunity for parents to connect, meet other families, and become part of a supportive community. Together, we create a space where children can learn and grow, and parents can share, connect, and enjoy the journey.

Platform Teachers

Get to know Ty Robinson

Ty is our Platform Academy Music Theory and Piano Teacher.

Ty is passionate about all things music, but his true niche is in music theory and composition. Ty has completed his Bachelor of Music majoring in Composition.

Ty is an advanced-level pianist (AMEB Grade 8) who has spent years performing at gigs, big and small, from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to private wedding ceremonies. Ty is currently the emerging producer for State Opera South Australia and Country Arts SA.

Besides being an approachable and enthusiastic young music educator, Ty is an avid movie enthusiast who loves going to the cinema to see the newest blockbuster film.
